Layout

Columns: 1; ruled lines: 12; written lines: 12; Hard-point ruling is visible. Hair-side and flesh-side of the folios are distinguishable. Has many illuminations and illustrations, which consist mainly of gold and coloured letters and designs. Some parts of the text are written in red ink.

Script

Sephardi square script, punctuated, of the last quarter of the 13th century or 1st quarter of the 14th century, c. 1300.

• Acquisition: Hayim Horowitz: purchased by the British Museum from him on 26 January 1884 (paper flyleaf of the back binding).
