The Book of Esther.

Notes

Parchment slightly inflexible, with creases.
Uneven trimming at lower edge and, in part, losses of printing at head.
Dark at edges and outer end (dirt and slight damp mottling).
Usage and rust stains, a smear of green pigment on verso.
One small loss to rodent at outer end.
Binyamin Ze᾿ev ben Yehudah Shtoḳfish and Yosef ben Eli῾ezer Mosheh Ferar (?): inscribed at head.

Layout

Columns: 31; ruled lines: 18; written lines: 18; Uniform layout. Ruling by hard point, membrane by membrane. Visible stiching of membranes. Hair side and flesh side of membranes distinguishable. Three tagin on שעטנזגץ and one on בדהחיפף. A few majuscular or minuscular letters, ח being also arched. The names of the sons of Haman arranged in 11 lines, in accordance with the rule. Wooden roller (155mm high).
