• Verse endings denoted by a colon; in commentary, paragraphs are separated by spaces. The fol. contains the Arabic translation of Proverbs I 22-33, followed by the beginning of Sa'adia's commentary essay on this paragraph (I 20-33), as found in the published edition (Kafaḥ: Mishle = Kitʾab ṭalab al-ḥikmah : ʻim targum u-ferush ha-gaʾon Se'adyah ben Yosef Fayumi / Yosef Kafaḥ ed.. Jerusalem : ha-Ṿaʻad le-hotsaʾat sifre Rasag, 1976) pp. 30-31 up to l. 12. The original inscription does not include the Hebrew biblical verses. These are provided in a later hand in the margins. The ink of the latter inscription survived better than the primary one.
