Summary

Neatly written copy of a book on Ḥanafī jurisprudence and followed by a second work, an abridgment of Wiqāyah al-riwāyah fī masā'il al-hidāyah, on the same topic. A table of contents and an introduction with marginal text precede the main text, with a second, less formally formatted table of contents right before the main text (f. 34). Some collation notations are visible in the far outer margins along with guidewords for the topics, many of which have been partially trimmed.

Bound in black leather over pasteboard with flap (Type II) with brown onlays of central mandorla, cornerpieces, and two pendants on the vertical axis (no longer present on front cover); flap has matching onlays; spine and fore-edge hinge are reinforced with red leather; blue textile reinforcement on inside flap hinge; endbands in pink and blue chevron pattern.

Simple headpiece of red half circle divided in thirds by curving lines at the beginning of the table of contents (f. unnumbered 1v), the introduction (f. unnumbered 3v) and the main text (f. 35v); those same page-openings border-ruled in red; rubrications in red.

Written in neat naskh in black ink; pointed.
