• Manuscript notebook by Benjamin Rush containing notes for a lecture on the practice of medicine, as well as a tribute to the life and career of the late Dr. John Morgan, whose position as chair Rush was appointed to fill.
   
• Benjamin Rush began teaching at the University of Pennsylvania in 1769, and became a professor of medical theory and clinical practice in 1791. He died in 1813.
