Summary

This manuscript is a southern German copy, dated 1452, of books 3 through 6 of the confessional manual by the fourteenth-century Franciscan Astesano, with reference tables at the end of the volume. Its binding, also mid-fifteenth-century, is by Johannes Fogel of Erfurt, Thuringia, incorporating multiple stamps used by Fogel, including one of his name. The text is written in two columns of forty-eight lines of Gothic cursive script and has minimal ornamentation, mostly in red ink.
