A collection of prayers attributed to Zayn al-ʻĀbidīn ʻAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn, the fourth Shiite Imam. The copy is written on somewhat pointed cloudbands; gold foliate page frames throughout.

Brown-black leather with gold-painted frame. Brown leather doublure with green painted frame of double rules.

Layout

13 long lines in cloudbands; border-ruled.

Decoration

Textblock border-ruled in gold and double blue with the text on cloudbands throughout. Headpiece in blue and gold on the first opening with textblock frame of blue line designs (f. 1v). Page-opening frame of colored (blue and red) and gold leaves on first and last opening (f. 1v-2r, 241v-242r). Gold foliate page-opening frame on three sides throughout; the frame has been partially or fully trimmed on pages near the beginning. Rubrications in blue and red.

Written in naskh in black ink; pointed, vocalized.
