Summary

Complete section, containing the bismillāh and first word of 17 to the last word of 18. Folios 9 and 12 are a rewritten inserts in a different hand. A full page illumination seems to have been covered over or transferred by contact to f. 1r; small sections and a shadow are visible.

Brown leather with flap; blind-tooled central roundel and wide frame, flap is blind tooled with coordinating design. Doublures are silhouette patterned paper.

Decoration

Surah titles in gold outlined in black. Gold eight petal rosettes with pink center lined by pink and blue dots mark verse endings.

Script

Written in mamluk style naskh in black ink; pointed, vocalized.
