One volume, incomplete, of a Qurʼān exegesis in Persian; last legible verse is 115 of al-Māʼidah with the commentary partially pasted over.

• Blue paper pasted to the last page is written from Mirzā Muḥammad Khān ʻĪsā Khān from the madrasah Dār al-Shafā to Karbālāʼī Muḥammad Haydar.
   
• Customs stamp dated 1312; numerous owner's stamps and notes (first flyleaf recto at front of book and f. 2v). Owner's note dated 1226 A.H. with the name Mullā ʻIsá walad Karbālāʼī Muḥammad Ḥaydar? (f. 1r).

Black leather over pasteboard with blind-stamped central mandorla and two pendants on the vertical axis, two paper onlays remain on the back cover; blind tooled radiant lines and border; pastedowns covered in pen tests, notes and stamps.

Rubrications, including some Arabic, in red; overlines in red.

Script

Written chiefly in nastaʻlīq with Arabic in naskh with vocalization.
